He put hundreds of hours into the project over the course of a year. “That meant it had to be running at the end of the weekend, or I wouldn’t have a running PC all week,” he says. “A desk PC built from scratch, completely liquid cooled, and constructed from aluminum and safety glass.” He built it using hardware from his main PC, but he only had time to work on it during the weekends. “It was my first big project,” says Brands. “I began working with more complex modding and liquid cooling in 2009, and I’ve been doing it since.”īrands put together dozens of builds in that time, but he keeps coming back to the 元p D3sk. “My first modification was in 1998, when I was attempting to improve airflow on my gaming rig,” he says.
